Maison & Objet Trend Session 2011/2012

Posted by Flux on

20 June 2012

Flux Creative’s latest collaboration has been with Maison & Objet, the world’s premier decor and design trade show.  Flux was approached by Sophie Ferrand-Hazzard, representative for Promo Salons (Paris) in South Africa, to host the inaugural Maison & Objet trend and preview session.  The event was designed to draw on Flux’s trend knowledge and give delegates insight into the new landscapes of decor and design at Maison & Objet.  Hosting the event before the Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 Maison &Objet show gave architects, designers and invited guests from the decor industry, a glimpse into the new decor and design themes to be unveiled in Paris.

The intimate setting of the iStore in Sandton allowed guests to get to know fellow designers and find out more about Maison & Objet trade shows.  The afternoon kicked off with a Flux Creative presentation outlining the forthcoming themes and special projects launching at Maison & Objet.  Of particular interest to the guests were insights into the indoor/outdoor decor theme, the focus on global luxury brands, cutting-edge retail trends that meet the demands of the changing consumer mindset, the digitally driven retail environment, as well as a special showcase of the best Japanese designers. The session closed with snacks and a flute of Moet & Chandon.

Flux Creative’s association with Maison & Objet will see a roll-out of preview events before Maison & Object trade shows as well as report back sessions after.  Keep checking the Flux website for news about future Flux Creative events (WJH).
