Shaping Africa’s Future Through Storytelling

About Afro Futures 2050
Afro Futures 2050 is a storytelling project focused on shaping Africa’s future through the voices of its people. At Flux Trends, we believe in the transformative power of stories to inspire, challenge, and reimagine the world.
This project gathers diverse African narratives to imagine what Africa will look like in 2050—exploring its challenges, innovations, traditions, and cultural transformations while staying rooted in Indigenous knowledge.
The project invites you to engage with stories from grassroots communities to emerging leaders across the continent.
Flux Trends will host the Johannesburg chapter of this project to facilitate storytelling workshops and collect authentic, visionary narratives.
What Are Afro Futures 2050 Chapters?
Chapters are local hubs for storytelling workshops, where stories are collected and curated. These hubs are crucial for gathering authentic African voices and perspectives, reflecting a broad range of experiences and visions for the future of this continent.
As hosts, we will support and guide individuals or organisations submitting their stories.
